Man’s ‘jugaad’ takes tractor to ‘new heights’: Anand Mahindra has a question – Times of India

Mahindra & Mahindra Group chairman Anand Mahindra, took to his X (formerly known as Twitter) account and posted a video of a man driving a tractor with an elevated seat. The business magnate seemed impressed by the unique ‘jugaad’ but he found it ‘interesting’ but at the same time, it prompted him to pose a rather logical question – why?
In the video which has since gone viral, we can see a man comfortably seated on a makeshift platform attached to the Mahindra tractor, seemingly enjoying his ride.Interestingly, to facilitate the driving at the new heights the driver had reached, the tractor had employed iron bars extending the pedals to reach the driver’s seat. “Interesting. But I have only one question: WHY?” wrote Mahindra in his tweet.

The video has sparked a flurry of comments on social media, with many users leaving humorous comments. One user said that the guy took the company’s ‘Mahindra Rise’ tagline very seriously while others have jokingly suggested that the man may be trying to avoid traffic congestion or simply enjoying the panoramic view from his elevated seat.

Just like Mahindra, most of the users were left confused on why this modification was done or if it has an actual purpose. However, it is, for sure, a rather impractical modification for a farm equipment considering the ‘hopping’ nature of the tractors in mind, this could turn out to be a risky affair for the driver, who faces the risk of potential injuries.
