Mahindra XUV.e8 spied: New pics reveal interior details – Times of India

Mahindra & Mahindra is testing its upcoming XUV.e8 electric SUV on Indian roads. Covered in camouflage, the prototype has been spotted many times, showcasing some exterior details. However, the recent spy shots reveal some interior details of the upcoming Mahindra SUV.
As seen in the spy pics, the XUV.e8 gets an LED light bar running across the width of the front fascia.Furthermore, the test mule is equipped with vertically stacked pod-like LED headlamps. Speaking of the rear design, theMahindra XUV.e8 looks similar to the XUV700, featuring a shark-fin antenna, rear wiper and arrow-like LED tail lamps.
The spy images also revealed some interior details, such as a two-spoke steering wheel and a three-screen setup, which includes an infotainment system, a digital instrument cluster and one screen for the co-driver. Additionally, the spy shots showcase the centre console with a circular dial to change drive modes and an automatic gear selector.
Dimensions of the upcoming electric SUV have been already revealed by Mahindra at the FutureScape event in Cape Town, South Africa in August this year. The Mahindra XUV.e8 will measure 4,740 mm in length, 1,900 mm in width and 1,760 mm in height. It will have a wheelbase of 2,762 mm.

Built on Mahindra’s INGLO platform, the XUV.e8 is likely to be powered by an 80 kWh battery with a single or dual electric motor setup.
Slated to launch in December 2024 as confirmed by Mahindra, the XUV.e8 will be the first model of the manufacturer’s Born Electric SUV range. Once launched, it will rival the likes of the soon-to-be-launched Tata Harrier EV in the Indian market.
