Lucid Gravity: Three-row electric SUV with 708km range, cheaper than BMW iX1! – Times of India

American EV manufacturer Lucid Group, Inc is widely renowned for the Lucid Air electric sedan that packs over 1,000 horsepower and reach speeds of up to 349 km/h. Now, the EV maker has revealed its second product in the form of Lucid Gravity, which is a fully-electric SUV that can seat seven, yet is capable to sprint from 0 to 60 mph (96 kmph) in just 3.5 seconds.
The Lucid Gravity offers a power output of 800 hp and boasts a drag coefficient of 0.24 cd. Lucid says that the Gravity will be priced under $80,000 in the US, which converts to about Rs 66.1 lakh in Indian currency. This makes it more affordable than the India-spec BMW iX1, with the entry-level luxury SUV currently priced at Rs 66.9 lakh (ex-showroom).

The luxury electric SUV is based on an all-new platform, not the one used for the Lucid Air. The Lucid Gravity SUV will make its public debut today during the Los Angeles Auto Show, with production starting in late 2024. The front-end of the SUV looks quite similar to its sedan sibling, while the side profile also features the same flowy design, despite three-row seating.
On the inside, the SUV features a massive 34-inch floating screen with 6k display, a 22-speaker Surreal Sound audio system, Advanced Driver Assistance Systems, adaptive LED headlights, and much more. The Lucid Gravity offers a mighty range of over 440 miles (708 km) with ultra-fast charge rates at over 300 kW. The electric SUV has a substantial payload capacity of over 1,500 lb (680 kg) and an additional 6,000 lb (2722 kg) of towing capacity.
